Equine Products Ireland Electrolyte Electro + are minerals dissolved in the blood and tissues of the body, which carry a positive or negative charge and can bind with another ion to make a “salt”. They help to preserve the correct balance of fluids in the body’s cells and are involved in muscle function and the processing of wastes. Deficiencies cause dehydration, impaired performance and may exacerbate clinical problems such as azoturia.

The main electrolytes are:

• Sodium (Na⁺), Chloride (Cl⁻), Potassium (K⁺), Magnesium (Mg²⁺), Calcium (Ca²⁺).

Electro + is a balanced blend of electrolytes designed to replenish the essential minerals lost through sweat during exercise, heat or other common stressors in horses.

• Analytical Constituents: Sodium 5,000mg, Potassium 2,500mg, Chlorides 9,800mg, Magnesium 350mg, Glucose 168mg, Calcium 750mg
• Falvouring Compounds: Glycine 1,000mg

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep container closed when not in use.

Feeding Guide:

• Mix 25 g with tepid water morning and evening as required. Feed to working horses to replace lost body salts, particularly through strenuous exercise and during warm weather. Should be used for 1-3 days following heavy sweating . Monitor your horse for sufficient water intake.
